School of Nel

Alveston Fine Arts is delighted to present an enchanting collection of ceramics from South Africa’s School of Nel.

Working from Carlitzdorp, South Africa, under the mentorship of world-renowned ceramicist Hylton Nel, his protégés are now ready to come to the fore with their own invigorated take on traditional ceramic figurines.

This new generation unifies the satire and whimsy of their predecessor with their unique viewpoint, cementing their vital position in the ever-changing landscape of South African contemporary art.
