The story of a ship's cat who hated sea life and is now back on land. Having seen a rocking chair, it attacks it, being reminded of the rocking of the ship.
The legs of the rocking chairs look like ships.
The seat's headrest features drawings of similar ships, cats, and the numbers 1-9, which represent the nine lives of cats.
A rose over the cat's paw represents the famous boat, the Mary Rose, a famous Tudor ship, although no one knows if a cat was actually on board. A skeleton on the cat's back representing the skull and crossbones of a pirate's flag.
