Founded in 2016 by Fergus Downey, Alveston Gallery Notting Hill is dedicated to discovering unexpected emerging contemporary art which often has a twist. Located in the heart of Notting Hill, the gallery offers a vibrant and dynamic space for those seeking works they can form a meaningful connection with in their everyday lives.
The gallery welcomes anyone with a curiosity for art to wander through an ever-evolving programme of works. Our philosophy is simple: art is meant to be lived with - valued, experienced, and enjoyed!
Alveston has always supported artists from the earliest stages of their careers, many of whom have since achieved national and international recognition through major prizes, museum acquisitions, and significant media attention.
The majority of artists represented have remained with the gallery for over eight years, reflecting a long-term commitment to nurturing, developing, and - above all -championing artists throughout each phase of their artistic journey.
