While making this body of work, I’ve been thinking a lot about time and how dandelions reflect this passage of time from bright yellow flowers to fragile seed heads. Combining ceramic and textile felt important in this work. The wool holds the softer stage of the plant, and the ceramic dandelion frame sits around it like a small fence, trying to protect something that’s usually pulled up and thrown away. Wool, ceramic, wood, hessian and thread.
