"In my latest project, The Honeymoon series, I narrate the story of a broken love. I revisited the archival images of my parents’ honeymoon, images that were destroyed in a flood in my childhood home. The divorce of my parents, resulted in the images being kept in a box in the basement of our house, where the water infiltrated and transformed the photographs forever.
My interest lied in capturing parallel stories between the experience of my parents and my own experience responding to the archive. Here, repetition is used as a method for uncovering the narrative lying within the image matter, which followed in the discovery of a newfound practice and a deepened visual language."
