Matilde Battisti (b. 2002) is an Italian London-based graphic designer and student at the Royal College of Art since two years (Graduate Diploma in Communication, 2024–25; MA Print, 2025–26). Her practice spans across photography, collage, and editorial design, with a focus on self-published publications. Her publications were presented at the Leeds Book Fair (2025) and Winchester Zine Fair (2026).

Matilde's practice focuses on the archive, both personal and found. She aims to discover new perspectives within the narratives of each picture, reflecting the natural pace of the stories. Her technical practice is based on repetition, working with scans and material augmentation, scaling and reducing, and allowing the details to tell it all, as Matilde says, "zooming in, detailing, destroying, zooming in again… A set of movements could create an infinite number of images."
