Set against Italy’s landscapes and beyond, the paintings weave humour, myth, and play into everyday struggles - softening their edges and reminding us to find playfulness in hardship, curiosity in the ordinary, and smiles in the most unexpected places.

Trying to overcome a “shit” time is hard, and convincing yourself of the positive effects is even harder. These works don’t claim to solve anything, but they show how, with a change in perspective, one can overcome- or at least soften - a rough situation. And if not, this catalogue may be a distraction and bring about a few smiles.
