Spitflower by Teddy Hansen

Spitfires were used for war but could also be used for planting flowers.

The pilot has strapped a dandelion to each wing, spreading seeds behind the plane as it flies. Water balloons have replaced the bombs and are being dropped to water the planted seeds.

A diagram on the man’s cheek shows the changes that would have to be made to a Spitfire for this to work. As you can see, nothing needs to be done. They were built for growing flowers.

Mixed media on canvas.
