We return to Collect 2026 in Somerset House.
The gallery will present four artists united by their devotion to storytelling through their chosen medium.
Sonja Kastner’s witty, collage-like plates; Evelyn Albrow’s mythic vessels of female mythology; Selby Hi’s wall-works that embody her studies of memory and domestic space ; and Hylton Nel’s whimsical, autobiographical iconography that transforms clay into a site of personal narrative.
This presentation explores how humour, history, fragility, and imagined worlds converge, revealing how artworks hold lived experience, whether playful, intimate, or epic. It invites viewers into the artists’ own evolving mythologies.
