María Antonieta Canfield (born September 15, 1985) is a Mexican artist who impresses with her ability to create monumental rappelling works on the walls of Mexico City on her canvases, becoming the first woman in Latin America to combine these two techniques to create a work of art. Her interest in challenging gender roles in Mexican society is deeply rooted in her work.
María work has a deep ecological concern, mostly depicting endangered animals and nature as the centre of current issues. She brings nature to the city and greens the facades of our buildings to inspire us to live healthier, more artistic lives.
María has murals in London, Milan, Belgium, Barcelona, New York, Mexico and Columbia.
